I'm building the engineering team from scratch—hiring, setting up processes, and driving tech strategy. It’s basically a startup within the company, which is exciting because it combines everything I love—product, startups, leadership, and tech—all in one role.

I co-founded Kulan to be more than just a matchmaking app—it's a platform helping Somali Muslims find real, halal marriages. As a founder, I've built and led everything from tech to branding, shaping the product and growing our community.

We're currently working on the 2nd iteration of the platform where we go beyond matching by focusing on marriage prep, mentorship, and a faith-centered community experiences.

At Waybridge (acquired by MineHub), I was part of a product team of 8 engineers building a commodity trading platform that digitized the raw material supply chain. I worked with a modern stack (TypeScript, React, GraphQL, Python, Django) to develop seamless order processing, real-time shipment tracking, and inventory management.

Our platform connected over 90 companies, processing billions in raw materials and transforming how manufacturers, miners, and logistics partners interacted.

Amount provides banks with fintech solutions to power lending, payments, and fraud detection. I developed a real-time fraud detection web app to verify income and identity during loan approvals and rebuilt the customer application from Angular to React for a smoother, more scalable experience.

At Amount (working with Barclays), I helped build their Point-of-Sale and Buy-Now-Pay-Later products using a modular micro-frontend setup with React, TypeScript, and GraphQL.

Worked primarily as a Frontend Engineer where I created mobile-first reusable UI components themed for over 8 different banks with dynamic layouts and validation requirements Using React, Node, Typescript, Javascript, GraphQL and styled components

Implemented self service workflows such as document uploads, personal information verification portals and payment information dashboard in The Customer Dashboard Application for customers with an approved loan.

At C.H. Robinson, a global leader in logistics and supply chain solutions, I built a voice AI system for their supply chain visibility tool using Node.js, Microsoft Bot, and LUIS AI. It integrated with existing APIs to deliver real-time analytics to busy executives through voice. I was also part of their new grad rotational team, contributing to various projects as a full-stack developer wherever needed.
